How I Work

There is no one right way to do this

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you need, or whether you need practical support, deeper emotional exploration, intuitive guidance or coaching. We can work that out together.

My role is to meet you where you are, listen carefully to what’s really going on and tailor our work to you.

Sometimes you need space to understand yourself and what you’re feeling. Sometimes you need to untangle old patterns, work through something difficult or reconnect with parts of yourself that have been pushed aside.

Sometimes you know what you want but can’t quite see how to get there. You might need perspective, encouragement, a plan and someone alongside you while you take the next steps.

And sometimes there is something deeper going on — a strong intuitive sense, an inner knowing, a spiritual question or an experience that doesn’t fit neatly into everyday explanations. If you want to explore that, intuitive guidance can be part of our work too.

There is room for all of that here.

A blend of approaches, shaped around you

My work brings together more than 15 years of experience in coaching, personal development and intuitive work, alongside emotional approaches and my counselling training.

Depending on what you bring, we might draw on:

Coaching — to clarify what you want, explore possibilities, build confidence and turn insight into action.

Emotional exploration — to create space for emotions, difficult experiences, relationships, patterns and parts of yourself that may need understanding, compassion or healing.

Intuitive exploration — when it feels relevant to you, I can support you to learn how to listen to your intuition, inner knowing and the subtler information you may already be sensing. You don’t need to consider yourself spiritual or intuitive for this to be part of our work. You can also choose to receive intuitive guidance from me.

Practical support — because insight is wonderful, but sometimes you also need to work out what you’re actually going to do on Tuesday morning.

Often, the most useful work is a combination of these.

We might spend one session going deeply into something emotional and another getting very practical about a decision or next step. We might notice something emerging intuitively and then explore what it means for your real life.

There is no prescribed route.

You don’t have to fit into a method.

I’m interested in you, your particular circumstances, history, personality, hopes, challenges and way of making sense of the world.

I’ll bring my experience, knowledge and perspective, but you remain the expert on your own life.

Together, we can get curious about what is really happening underneath the surface, what might be keeping you stuck and what needs to change.

Sometimes the work is about healing.

Sometimes it is about understanding yourself.

Sometimes it is about finding your voice, trusting yourself again or reconnecting with something you have lost touch with.

And sometimes it is simply about deciding that you are ready for something different and working out how to make it happen.

“Thea is so much more than a coach! … Thea would reach into crevices that were long forgotten to release those hidden blockers and at the same time find seeds to germinate and grow. I rediscovered my creativity, which I thought I’d lost since childhood, the answers were given to me but not as my logical brain expects!” — Kim, Project Manager, Yorkshire

My training & experience

I have been working professionally with people for more than 15 years.

My formal training includes:

  • BA (Hons) English Literature, University of Sussex

  • Clinical Diploma in NLP, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching & EFT, The Optimum Health Clinic

  • Advanced Integrated Counselling training — Level 4 training in an integrative, relational and experiential approach (currently completing; expected 2027)

  • Shamanic Feminine Initiation with Jewels Wingfield, an intensive multi-year programme of personal and spiritual development

Alongside formal training, I have continued to learn through workshops, further study, personal development, creative practice and — perhaps most importantly — through the many people I have had the privilege of working with over the years.

My approach has been shaped by coaching, NLP, hypnotherapy, EFT, therapeutic and emotional work, intuitive and spiritual practices, creativity and personal development.

I don’t see these as separate boxes.

They are different ways of understanding and supporting the wonderfully complicated humans we are.

What it feels like to work with me

I want our work to feel like a space where you can be honest.

You don’t have to perform. You don’t have to have the right words. You don’t have to impress me or arrive with everything figured out.

I’ll be warm, curious and compassionate — and I’ll also gently challenge you when I think there is something worth looking at.

There will be depth when depth is needed, practicality when practicality is needed, and hopefully some laughter along the way.

Most of all, I want you to leave our work feeling more connected to yourself — with greater clarity about what matters to you, more trust in your own knowing and a clearer sense of what your next step might be.

What can happen from here?

Over the years, I’ve seen clients go on to start businesses, write books, travel, change careers and find relationships that feel more like themselves. I’ve supported people through major life transitions, helped them find their voice and confidence, break old patterns and reconnect with a sense of purpose.

Some have gone on deep healing journeys, rediscovered their creativity, made sense of spiritual experiences or developed a deeper trust in their intuition. Others have simply found themselves feeling more grounded, supported and able to make choices that feel right for them.

There’s no particular outcome you’re supposed to arrive at.

The point is to discover what your next chapter wants to look like — and find the support, clarity and courage to create it.

Ready to explore what could change?

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on before you get in touch.

A Discovery Call gives us a chance to talk about where you are, what has brought you here and whether I feel like the right person to support you.
